FEB/MAR 2024 – Airshows Downunder Shellharbour

We have again the opportunity to participate as a “Ground Crew” at the Airshow at Shellharbour (Previously known as Wings Over Illawarra).
This time it is a FULL CLUB event as we will be supporting both the FW190 and the P51.
So far we already have undertakings from members as follows:
- Kruger – Tent, Kubelwagen, and possibly beetle or Zundapp
- Heinrich – Motorbike and rangefinder with small display
- Erich – Motorbike
- Hanni – Big Eyes binoculars and display
- Nathen – Jeep, and US Command Post (and First Aid Station TBC)
If you are interested and want to bring an item or display, please indicate that in “Comments” in your registration.
Some important considerations:
- Set up is on Thursday afternoon for a full three day display finishing 5pm Sunday.
- No camping on site so own accommodation needs to be sorted. Limited camping might be available at the Railway Museum with the AMVCS.
- No special parking in place so need to arrive early daily to get a spot….gates close to vehicles at 0800 each day.
- We are working on getting passes for the VIP area for refreshments during the days other wise it is all self catering.
We need to have this sorted (attendance numbers, vehicles, displays) by end of January 2024 so we can get the entry passes sorted.
