One of the most important things in reenacting is getting it right – being a historical representation of a ‘soldier’ requires research and effort.  It does not mean spending thousands of dollars on buying original items of uniform and kit but it does mean buying accurate, period correct items from reputable sources.  It also means learning military drill and discipline so that you act like a soldier.  Then to round this off, is your own personal behaviour and appearance – correct haircuts, jewelry, grooming and then speaking like those who we are representing.  All in all, it is not just about throwing on a uniform.
